Maple Roasted Nuts Recipe
Organic Roasted Maple Nut Recipe

Hello maple lovers! Carolyn here for Maple Valley Cooperative. We are excited to share this quick, tasty, and super snackable recipe with you: Maple Roasted Nuts!

Our founder shared this recipe with us for the 12 Days of Cookies series we ran on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest earlier this month. We thought it was such a versatile way to combine the nutrient dense protein/fiber combo found in nuts with the sweetness of your favorite sustainable superfood (our organic maple syrup, of course!). These nuts are great on their own, mixed in a trail mix, used on top of oatmeal, on a Maple Valley Sundae, and as a great addition to any salad: options are endless!

You can use any variety of nuts or a mixture of nut-types for this recipe. These Maple Roasted Nuts are also super easy to make vegan: just substitute coconut oil or you favorite dairy-free fat for the butter.

Healthy ingredients for this nutrient dense snack

Let’s talk about how quick and simple this is: all that you need to do is melt butter (or vegan butter substitute), stir all your ingredients, and roast in the oven for 10-15 minutes.

Pro tip: Go for the Grade A Dark Maple Syrup: so much more maple flavor as it bakes!

Grad A Dark organic maple syrup is best for this recipe

When I tested this recipe, I had the joy of having my daughter (3 years old) and two of her friends helping me in the kitchen. We counted the number of cups of nuts, took turns stirring, and all worked together spreading the sticky mixture onto the baking sheet. It was the perfect recipe for a group of three rowdy kiddos: they were engaged and interested, but since it was so simple they didn’t get bored! Win!

Fragrant maple roasted nuts toasting in the over

The results? Warm, fragrant, and toasty nuts. Just try and wait 10 minutes after they come out of the oven for them to cool down. Don’t want anyone burning their mouth on this deliciousness! All my little helpers loved the results, and scarfed down quite a few once they cooled down.
