These Maple Pork Tacos are skillet seared with a sweet and spicy maple chipotle glaze. Made with tender pork chops and Maple Valley Cooperative’s Organic Dark & Robust Maple Syrup, this crowd-pleasing recipe makes for a festive take on traditional pork tacos.
The Dark & Robust Maple Syrup tempers the smoked chipotle powder for a suburb warming sweetness. Served with rich sour cream and black beans, you are in for a filling and delicious taco night!
Ingredients:
-
4-5 Pork Chops
-
1 TBS Cooking Oil
-
2 TBS Maple Valley Organic Dark & Robust Maple Syrup
-
1 tsp Smoked Chipotle Powder
-
2 Jalapeños, diced (optional, if you like more heat)
Serve with:
- 10 warmed corn tortillas
- Sour Cream
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Green Onions, chopped
- Microgreens

Let’s Cook:
To begin, heat 1 TBS cooking oil in a large iron skillet over medium low heat. While it’s heating, tenderize your pork chops with a kitchen mallet. Rub each side of the pork with a light drizzle of maple syrup and sprinkle with the smoked chipotle powder. Add chopped jalapenos (if using) to the skillet, then place chops in the pan (you may need to do this in batches).
Let the chops brown deeply on one side so the maple syrup darkens and carmelizes. Flip and repeat on the other side, then lower the heat until the chops are cooked through. Remove from the pan and let stand for a few minutes. Thinly slice across the grain of the meat.
Serve these delicious pork tacos on warmed corn tortillas with black beans, shredded cheddar cheese, and sour cream with chopped green onions or microgreens as a topping.
Enjoy!
