That’s where this Maple Chia Seed Pudding recipe comes in: packed with nutrients and a snap to make ahead of time. This recipe is the perfect, creamy, tasty fuel you need to get yourself through the excitement and hard work of the maple harvest season (which is close at hand!).
This recipe is easy to customize. Substitute a vegan milk or dairy free milk for the organic whole milk. Add your own special blend of spices. Toss in some fresh fruit. Blend it up in a smoothie! Chia seed pudding is a great canvas for experimentation. Get creative! Plus, this superfood breakfast doesn’t have to be a morning thing only, chia seed pudding is a great snack, too! Add a little extra maple and some cocoa and you’ve got yourself a healthful dessert. Endless possibility!
To make Maple Chia Seed Pudding:
In a jar or bowl, combine ⅓ cup chia seeds, 1 ½ cups milk of choice (for this recipe we used organic whole milk), 2 Tablespoons of Maple Valley Cooperative Organic Maple Syrup, ½ Teaspoon ground organic cinnamon, ½ Teaspoon ground organic cardamom, 1 pinch ground organic turmeric. Stir them all together, cover your jar and place it in the fridge overnight.
When you are ready to enjoy this healthy, nutrient dense superfood pick me up, simply take it out of your fridge and eat! You can go crazy with fresh fruit and nut garnishes, eat the chia seed pudding plain, or blend it into your favorite smoothie recipe. It’s totally up to you!
